An outlet for frustration, bursts of love, and outright crazyness!

i was sitting at church today, about 10 or 15 min before service started, and i'd just taken off my coat and was settling into my seat. then one of the ladies at church came up to me to talk about having kcf over at their house one of these days. we've been trying to coordinate a day for a month or two now, and if it wasn't one thing, it was another. so we finally set a date for kcf to invade their house for dinner and bible study, which i'm really happy about. she is one AMAZING cook...man, if i'm surprised at how thin that family is, cuz if i was in that household, i'd be stuffin' my face fulla great food every day!! they must have great metabolisms!
in any case, after we set the date (march 8th, in case anyone wants to come, please rsvp!), she said some things to me that really touched me. she told me that i was doing a wonderful job and marvelled at how faithful i was for doing such good work with such a stressing job, and that God would continue to bless me for my work with kcf. she also said that she was praying for us, which felt really good to know. she also said she was impressed and that the stress must be getting to me, because i look like i've lost weight and that i look thinner, but i'm sure she was just being nice about that. : )
anyway, her words just kinda blew me away, and reminded me of what i sometimes forget about: that leading kcf is God's work. not my *job* but my calling. not because i was *forced into it* or because i was the *default* but because i was called to do this. i used to get a little down about attendance and numbers, but that's not what kcf is about, is it? God has now blessed us with a solid group of first-year students, and for that i am wonderfully thankful. in fact, running kcf is a blessing in itself. altho it is administratively stressful in the first term, the joy of the fellowship it brings far outweighs the paperwork! i really do love kcf and all the ppl in it (except maybe vincent...heehee, j/k!).
thanks to Mrs.H for all the prayers, support, and reminders that i'm not alone in this. also thanks to everyone else who has faithfully been praying for me and kcf...and especially to socks for putting up with late-night phone calls of desperation. : )
