school stinks! i have a ton of work to do, and i obviously am in no hurry to get any of it done. at least my stress-week is now spread out over a bit more time. profs have, for various reasons, changed due dates on a number of assignments so that instead of having 2 papers, an assignment, and a presentation all within 4 days (nov 10-13), it is all in 5 later days (nov 13-17) which includes a weekend! actually, since i put it *that* way, it doesn't really sound a whole lot better. i'd better get a move on it!

not a whole lot has happened lately - yesterday (monday) evening, i went to john's graduation ceremony at the nac. i was a wee bit apprehensive about it because when i went to my brother's a few years ago, it was a good 3 hours long (and very boring). perhaps it was because it was all the april grads. anyway, john's wasn't so bad, because it was about an hour and a half, and i think also because i kinda know a bunch of his classmates. it was neat: stuntman stu from the bear was the guest speaker, and the audience was...unique. at one point, when this lady's name was called, a bunch of ppl yelled out, "wayta go, mom!" and when this other girl walked across the stage, a lone voice yelled out, "i'm proud of you, honey!" awww.... anyway, john wasn't too bothered by the whole thing - he almost didn't go! i figured he would regret it more if he didn't go (rather than just regret wasting a few hours), so i'm glad he went. at least he got to see the boys again and catch up with where everyone else is now.

after the grad, we decided to grab a quick bite to eat. pho was not an option because it was monday (closes early!), so we opted to go to perkin's. when we got there, we found out it was closed for maintenance or something, so we drove over to sandrella's for some shawarmas and pies! alas, the bakery half was closed, so we just had shawarma. mmm...sooo yummy!!

normie: if you're reading this, i still think the name "sandrella" sounds shady! also, when i got home, i made a big bowl of almond jello. i miss you lots.
