wowee, quite the weekend to not blog, huh? i bet no one really cares, altho it's not like you're getting the updates from kasmo's blog either. : P
saturday we both slept in REAL good and i managed to get a few things done. eventually, we got a ride from mark (ivcf prez at carleton) and his best friend who was visiting (also mark) to go to city-wide. it was all the way out at arlington woods, so i had no idea how to get there! sat with renee and denise, and after the music, i ended up chatting with a few of the other execs (cc4c, ivcf, etc.) and we were all ranting about how we got stiffed on funding. someone asked about how come we seemingly got so little, and other interest-groups got seemingly more, and she was told that they had more "presence" on campus. that's so silly... like the cheerleading club has presence?! do we have that many teams for them to cheer?! it's just ridiculous. they also mis-calculated how much they had to give out in funding, hence the "you can request up to 3x as much as last year....but we're not giving it to you." grrr. well, denise was nice enough to drive us home, and then john came and picked us up from there. we went to aiman's, where the projector and the games were already in full swing. it was very entertaining because aiman put on a cute show later. we stayed SO late that kasmo and i both ended up falling asleep on the couches. thank goodness for daylight savings time and so-called extra hour of sleep. still, getting home at 5am (technically 4) still doesn't sound too good.....
sunday we woke up for church, went to church for *stump the lump* day, which was actually pretty interesting. sat around and chatted with ppl for a bit, and then shopped around china-street. went home and grabbed some food before taking a nap (me) and blogging (kasmo). we were SUPPOSED to go on a hike, but all the other boys were too tired because they were up all night playing games!! john came over around 5ish, and by then, the sun was starting to set. we decided we were gonna go to gatineau anyway, even tho neither of us was quite sure of the way. and altho i'm sure we drove through and around the park, i'm not sure we were ever really in it. i think we drove in the dark, dark forest for about an hour. it was somewhat blair-witchy. eventually we got to a sign that pointed left and said HULL 4, and pointed right and said LUSKVILLE 50 (or something like that). so kasin picked luskville. i have no idea where luskville is, but i'm also not sure we ever found that either. somehow we found our way back to some directional signs that pointed back to hull, so we went back. it was still early (having only gone on a crazy drive for only an hour), so we went bowling. we paid for 4 games instead of 1 hour. boy, was that a mistake! by the middle of the 2nd game, my arm was so tired! on the bright side, we now have lots of little inside-bowling jokes. like that kasin does a little hop when she bowls. john tried to imitate a not-so-graceful hop (VERY amusing). john started to get tired so he kinda launched the ball down the lane. he actually played a little like as if it were 5-pin. eek. bunny came to join us, and the 4 of us went for siu-yeh at chu shing. bunny's so fun to have along because he abides by the "eat it before we tell you what it is" rule! his comment about the jellyfish (before he knew what it was) was, "it's kinda like jelly!" teehee.
one thing of MAJOR note is that john and i had no part in ordering a bowl of pork & thousand-year-old egg JOOK. we said we had no objections to it being on the table, but we weren't going to eat it. so there you go xdd, i abstained....sorta. y'see, bunny ended up not liking the egg at all, so i ate all his egg pieces, i hope that's ok. and even if it weren't for xdd, i wouldn't have had any because normie wasn't there. that's why john didn't eat it, because normie would've been upset too, i think! aren't y'all proud of us?! (this sounds like such a silly thing to do, but oh well, it's the thought!).
after dinner, bunny went to get patty, and the 5 of us went to denny's for ice cream. john had to buy us girls ice cream because...why? because he lost miserably in bowling!! teehee! kasmo got another grasshopper sundae, bunny got grasshopper shake, and john and i both got strawberry sundaes. mmm... no one was tired, so we all popped over to aiman's again (he wasn't there) to watch yet another episode in the smallville saga. it was the one with the crazy mad scientist, and man, that guy was PSYCHO!! patty was making fun of me because i was so scared of the nutball! later, i was making fun of patty because he doesn't cover his mouth when he yawns, so i stuck my finger in his mouth. i immediately tried to give him a wet willy, but he managed to fight my hand away (doh). i think john nearly cried because he'd forgotten that he took the cables home...and just so we could watch smallville, he ripped the cables out of his car stereo! it still worked on the way home tho....
monday woke up and went to work. that was THE most stressful 5 hours of work imaginable. and i'd go over every excruciating detail again, but it'll just make me mad so let's just say that it was stressful. after work went to get some coursepaks and then came home. kasin and i ate, and then went to do some shopping. we went to blessings (took me a while to find it, cuz i kinda forgot which plaza it was in), and then shopped at st.laurent. i think her highlight there was buying a slew of presents for the UK lot, as well as having beavertails again. she got garlic butter & cheese, AND killaloe sunrise! i went out on a limb and got the cinnamon & apple, but it wasn't too too special...still yummy, but now i still have to say that killaloe sunrise is still the best. we shopped til the mall closed at 9, and then went home.
john should've been sleeping instead of coming out, but he said he wasn't tired. perhaps it was because of the 5 XL french vanilla capp's he had while studying all night, plus the bag of chocolate for breakfast. no wonder he was wired all day....anyway, we had john bring us a pumpkin when he came over after work. woohoo!! kasin is going to make her first jack-o-lantern! john got us a nice and OOOGLIE pumpkin! it's got these barnacle-looking bumps all over! apparently this was actually the second pumpkin...cuz the first one he was tossing around and it ended up smashed on the floor. good job. we bummed around at my house for a while...john made me relive my horrid morning (much to his dismay, because when i said "you don't want to know" he prolly didn't want to know) and i ended up yelling and screaming and burying my face in a pillow because i was so mad. i had to get kasmo to play *C is for Cookie* twice before i could calm down! we had to rush to john's house after that, because bunny and patty were waiting for us! we went to john's room in the basement and watched...what else? an episode of smallville! the one with the evil ring...eek! but that wasn't enough clark-exposure (for bunny) so we watched the first-ever smallville where they explain the meteor shower (the one with the meteor making a direct hit on lana's parents, and leaving fluffs of lex's hair....LoL).
we basically just bummed around john's room. played the the piranhas and john's dollies. yes, DOLLIES. john has a whole pile of DOLLIES, which are very big, cute, and cuddly. we're not exactly sure why he has so many DOLLIES, but we have our suspicions....
