yesterday was a day of not doing too much at all. patty spent all day with norm, and the two of them kept calling me all morning/afternoon because they were on campus killing time but didn't want to walk over to my house but at the same time, john didn't finish school til 2. john came over when he was done and he ate...but meanwhile the boys (norm) were getting all the more impatient because we ended up making them wait for like, an hour. then we went to john's house and they basically watched DUNE all afternoon (and evening because it's like, 5 hours long) while i sorta studied (and fell asleep). it was definitely some nice quality time, with a ton of kid fun. patty put his foot down at watching dune, so he tried to turn the tv off repeatedly...then norm stuffed something in front of the lil' part on the tv that receives the signals from the remote, and then they were about to fight...ever see mad dogs circling each other before they fight? LoL!! great fun. then we went to kfc to pick up a 20-piece bucket. so between 4 of us, that means we can each have 5 pieces. norm ate his share...john ate 2, i ate 3 (in my defence 1 was a leg and 1 was a wing - it was small!), and that means patty ate 10 pieces. ICK! he ate just as much as the 3 of us combined! anyway, patty realized that he could watch friends on the computer while the john and normie watched dune, so he was much happier with that. at the end of the night, we all ended up watching old episodes of friends. we saw the commando episode too - that was great!! LoL!!

ahhh, and such is life on a dreary monday. here's a forecast for today: warm with periods of japanese history. highs of +10 and lows of the samurai heirarchy. sunny with breaks of dinner at THE WORKS and SMALLVILLE...it is FINALLY a NEW EPISODE!! anyway, i sat down to figure out how much i needed to read, and came up with a reading list of about 300 pages. then i realized that that is my ENTIRE textbook. doh, maybe i shoulda gone to class sometime between october and now. countdown: 6 days and 270 pages to go... :*(
