hooray for the sens! albert's pretty good with his confidence in his predictions! last year it was team canada gold all the way, and this year after game 1 his prediction was 4-straight. nice. it was cool to win it at home, too! yay for fans booing every time yashin got the puck!
that said, i obviously watched the game tonight. japanese history, sens winning the series. feudal era, sens. hojo regency, sens. right, sens won out. i read most of the afternoon, napped, cooked dinner, watched the game, vincent came over for the last 10 min of the game so i could wrap the present, read a bit more, then went out with john & patter. we went to some bar on preston, which was actually pretty good. john wanted to go chill with some ultimate ppl, so we tagged along. patter got this meatball sandwich that looked SO tasty! i think we're gonna go back there sometime and try that again! after that, we drove around for a bit, walked around the park for a bit, and then went to timmy's. so weird, i saw ryan pop in for some coffee, so i went and said hi, and he said he was with some friends and it was one of his friends' birthday. i also noticed that ryan paid for 4 coffees with a $50 bill. ding ding ding, whose birthday is it today and who carries nothing smaller than 50's in his wallet? so i ran outside to wish sean a happy birthday. it was good to see him, considering he cut off all his phones and thus i had no other way of wishing him a happy birthday anyway.
john & joanna discussed this the other day during our marathon phone conversation (in which my cell phone reset to 00:00 twice!). we were reminiscing about get smart, and i brought it up with patty today at the bar. so who's up for a GET SMART marathon after exams? years ago, i knew i wouldn't regret taping all those episodes! patty and i had a hoot laughing at the ridiculous memories of that show... i still love the fact that the ever-famous shoe-phone is a rotary phone (which is only funnier now in this age of digital technology). not the CRAW, the CRAW!! LoL, hooray for the days when racial jokes were acceptable!
