i'm trying to change my blog template right now.. it's not quite working as well as i want it to. grr...

ah, saturday. a typical saturday. woke up, did some laundry, icq'ed, read my book outside, took a nap, and talked on the phone. the best thing that happened today was DINNER! i was asked to make a salad for dinner. cool enough, i can do that. my mom and uncle yang had gone out to the museum of nature today and they also went to the market, it seems. apparently they found some beautiful salmon that was also cheap (compared to HK tho, i suppose). so uncle bought a pound of fresh salmon and we had salmon sashimi for dinner....mmmm.... not to mention my yummy salad and also beef & green beans that uncle fried. the highlight of dinner was definitely salmon!! MMMM!!! i was so full at the end of dinner that i could barely finish off the last few pieces of salmon, now wouldn't that have been a tragedy?!

it was neat...before dinner, uncle's daughter had called. she's good friends with my sis, and her nickname is curly. i'm not too sure what her real name is, cuz my sister always just calls her curly. she called to talk to her dad (of course) but then she wanted to talk to me! we ended up talking for about half an hour, which was pretty cool... i guess my sis talks to each of us about the other, so we kinda already knew a lot about each other, but we'd never really talked before and we've certainly never met before! curly even told me to email her so we could talk some more, which is even cooler! my sis refused to give me curly's email before cuz she was afraid i'd start stalking her. now WHERE would she get THAT CrAzY IdEa fRoM?!?! i'M NoT CRaZY!! so yes, that's basically been my day in a nutshell. and quite the NUT it's been.

i want ice cream.

well, yet another exciting day in zet's life. worked and FINALLY finished up the presentation that we've been working on all week. i'm sure tyler's glad it's the weekend now cuz i won't be bugging him every 5 minutes with some stupid question. : ) was supposed to go have dinner with tim (gae-gae!) lau, but then he cancelled on me. booo tim. then i called sam, but his mom had already started cooking. so i went shopping by myself to kill some time. bought a nice new roots hoodie sweatshirt for $30 (50% off!). was tempted to buy a few more things, but i've bought quite a bit this month already.

went to chinatown and got me some viet subs, which i haven't had in ages because chu and josh don't like them. they prefer jooking! sat around church for a while and sam came by soon after... had a bible study on genesis 2 that was pretty interesting.. after that, a bunch of us went to mc d's for a snack, and then sam, karen, tim, natalie, and i went to nat's rez room at ottawa u to check it out. she's living in the newest rez, and it's REALLY nice!! her room is HUGE for a rez room, and she's in a suite-type thing with a roomate. they get their own bathroom too, and it's pretty darn nice! they even get their own tv's with cable!! whooooa!!!

summerconference starts soon...... for those that know tiz and johan, please keep them in your prayers..oh, and dick too (how could i forget?).

(addendum)... blog's not posting...grrr.... keep getting error code...grrrr... if only this wasn't free, then i'd have more reason to complain!

will this week of real work never end?? put in yet another tiring day of work on my presentation. importing tons of tables and charts and graphs from excel, which in itself is a pain to deal with...darn pivot tables! at least i had no problems SAVING today... and yes boogie, i KNOW that to save, i have to hit that little icon with the disk on it...grr...

was gonna go rollerblading with bert after work, which is something i haven't done in ages..i think last time i bladed must've been that crazy excursion blading from my house to centrepointe! at the last minute, chu called me desperate for my company (that *company* being mastercard...). alas, poor little chu couldn't sign up for rogers without a credit card. i shouldn't have gone. i'm OFFENDED that he called a few other *ahem* people before calling me. i understand calling andy, but i can't believe you called HIMMMMM of all people before me!!! i'm HURT!!!!! and i'm gonna rub this in until chung treats me to ice cream to apologize!!! in any case, chung, josh, and i went back to futureshop to get his rogers and digicam. we went to pizza hut to hunt for ben, but his car wasn't there, so we went to his house. his car was there, but surprisingly, he wasn't! so we left a bit of a calling card on his windshield, which i am now finding out that he didn't read it and he chucked it out. doh. we went to josh's house after that, yay, never been to joshie's before!! kinda woke steve up tho... i go, "hi steeeve!!" then realize that he was trying to sleep. josh asks him if he could tell who it was, and steve mumbles, "sounds like suzette..." doh, is my voice THAT *unique*?? didn't stay long cuz chung had to go, so off we went!
going back thru the cornfields was horrible!! man, the cows must've just been let out.....chung and i had to pretty much take drags of his apple-smelling freshener to be able to breathe!! it's like the movie friday (if any of you have seen it)..."puff puff give!! puff puff give!! man, you're [screwing] up the rotation!!" i felt like we were taking scuba lessons, y'know like how you have to share a breathing apparatus? you each take a breath and then pass the air over? well, it was just like that!! YUKK... i can now honestly say, "man, i can smell farrhaven from a mile away!!"

nothing much else new tonight..... got a letter from school today. most retarded letter. it says "please refer to the attached information for guidelines about...etc." of course the only thing that came in the envelope was that ONE letter and there was no attached info... great, now what?!?!

bleh! alright, it's late, and i have to give someone a wakeup call before i sleep. i'm outtie.

yikes, another full day of *real* work. spent the whole morning battling access and excel, building crazy expressions that never seemed to have the right syntax. grrr. when we finally got it to work, we stuck it all into mappoint and generated tons of maps which we made a slide show out of using powerpoint. microsoft has a deathgrip on us... i wrestled with all of it til giving up after 6... at about 6:15 when i was ready to go home, my slide show wouldn't SAVE!! what's up with that?! i could print it, but what good is printing 30 pages of maps?! luckily michelle was able to help me (since she was the only one left in the office) make a copy of it and we saved the copy. *whew*... bloody microsoft...

got home at 7 dead tired....ate dinner, briefly talked to tiz, then promptly fell asleep. didn't get much sleep last night cuz i was having a long conversation with boogie about stuff....'twas a good talk, i'm glad i have a friend like him that i can talk to about anything. or rather, i'm glad i have a friend who's nosy enough to ask all these questions to prompt such conversations. ;) as much as I THINK YOU'RE A LOSER, turdie, i know you're just concerned, and i appreciate that. i know you just want to see me happy, but sometimes it doesn't always work out that way. playing with the cards that life deals you is a part of the game, and you learn with each hand that's dealt to you. one of these days, i'll finally bust out that big 2 that i've been holding and then you'll see... ;)
and then just as i was starting to conk out at the computer, i ended up icqing chu about stuff and we ended up trading prayer requests...that was actually pretty neat, since it's good that all us jook buddies can be prayer buddies too (stop what you're thinking right NOW josh!).

anyway, i wanted to be in bed about an hour ago. a pox on icq and blogging. : P

wow, i did some REAL work at work today! i spent the whole day battling with ms access queries (those things are SUCH a pain to make up!), and then learned how to make a pivot table in excel. those are actually quite cool, and i spent most of my afternoon using that to generate a whole bunch of reports. i made so many reports that i was starting to feel bad about wasting all that paper...but hey, i've gotta come up with some useful info so i can present it to the bigboss to prove that i haven't wasted a month's worth of time chasing imaginary dots on maps...

after work, walked thru rideau, then went to the loblaws on rideau st. to pick up my pictures!! woohoo!! tried to pick up some guitar strings at steve's, but it was closed when i got there. grr... in case you're wondering why i of all people am looking for guitar strings, apparently elixir strings are about $50CDN / set in sweden..... thought i could find them cheaper over here and send them over, hehe. i walked back down to chapters and tried to find a bday present for my sister... chapters has what i'm looking for - online. so i just came home and ordered it and i'm just gonna have it shipped straight to her, may as well! better than me having to wait for it and then ship it myself...considering her bday is oh...tomorrow (technically today!). oh well, she's in montreal til friday anyway, so it's not like she'll get it in time either way!!

it was a nice evening, so i just walked home from chapters. (man, that was a lot of walking today) i had a gorgeous walk along the canal! came home and icqed (as usual) and talked on gphone (i love internet phone...this thing is gonna save me a fortune!).
it was cool icqing johan! say hi to johan, everyone!! for those that don't know (or haven't noticed...), johan is from norway! he is a regular commenter on my blog (YAAAAY for johan!), and he is this summer's cocm intern! he's staying at dick's house right now...in the room on the right at the top of the stairs....that's the best room! the window's the coolest and the bed is nice and big and comfy! johan didn't seem to believe me when i said EVERYone's stayed in that room!! LoL (except sonja, who got gypped and got the small room!). hey johan, how tall are you? did you know that it's an unspoken requirement that cocm interns have to be short?? REALLY short?? i've met 4 previous interns, and tiz is the tallest by far (no offence to kalun, bert, or aju if you're reading this...)!! alright, that was my johan-plug of the day. he said he liked being mentioned in my blog. is this enough?? : )

and aside from talking to tiz on gphone for the rest of the night, that's about all i did. well, i managed to do a lot of work while on the phone too, cuz tiz was also doing work. well, i guess we werent' really talking then, huh? hehe...well, we were keeping each other company. i sent a mass email to kcf ppl, i bought my sister's bday present online, and i tracked her down in montreal. the internet is a great way to stalk (and it's not like hotel phone numbers aren't public...). so i called her at midnight to wish her a happy bday. on that note, happy 29+1 birthday to my sister...she doesn't know about my blog, so she'll never see that. LoL!! *gasp* i can't believe she's THAT old now...eek! hehe, well, SOMEone has to rub it in, and who better to rub it in than lil' me?? : ) gak....that's 1.33333 of a century!!

well, today was fairly run of the mill, for the most part. went to work, and it was a long and dreary day. what can you expect for a monday? it rained pretty hard for most of the afternoon. glad i was indoors (shirt of the day: BLACK, yay!).
when i got off work, it was lightly raining, and it was pretty warm out, so i just decided to walk home. i walked slow, just to enjoy the rain. i guess i had a lot of stuff to think about and clear my mind about. when i got to the canal, i decided to take a stroll along the canal too. there's this tree that's growing right next to the canal so that part of its branches are over the water. so i stood under it, leaning on the fence thing for a while. it was really pretty, watching all the raindrops ripple in the water around me. too bad i didn't have a camera on me... before i left, i spit my gum into the canal, where it slowly went down into the water...until some fish tried to eat it.
i got home pretty well soaked, and the first thing my mom asked me was, "did you get a ride home??" i just gave her a "are you retarded??" look, grabbed my mail, and went to go change.

icq'ed and checked the news before dinner...then icq'ed some more. talked to tiz pretty much all night (again). and now just blogging and catching up on news with assorted people...

johan: if you go to liverpool again, find paul chan (otherwise known as "spider") from newcastle and give him a big hug for me. LoL!! and keep the blinds open...that's a gorgeous skylight you're wasting!!

today was good, i guess.... went to church, hung out with jin for a while, and then joined chung, dj, denise, and josh at royal treasure. took a rather embarrassing picture of chung shoving food into my mouth... dj went home, and the rest of us went shopping at rideau for the afternoon. josh got a cd, the boys got some dri-fit clothes at athlete's world (GRRR...why are WOMEN's dri-fit never on sale?!), i bought a skirt at bluenotes, and denise and i checked out the sale at la senza. we left the boys outside, altho josh seemed a little too curious about my purchases. (note: chung just icq'ed me and congratulated me on the bargain that i picked up at la senza!).
it was soon 5pm, and the mall was closing, so we went our separate ways. well, sorta separate. we still had to stick somewhat together since we'd gotten 2-for-1 daypasses!! : ) good thing chung can take the 5 to billings!

when i got home, my mom's friends were over and invited us all out for dinner. perfect timing on my part! so we all went out to chinatown for a yum-yum dinner... fish tummy & crabola soup, fried chicken, fried fish, gai-lan & scallops, some weird noodley things & shrimp (chung's fave), and my personal fave...tung-choy!! mmmmmm!!! dessert: duw-foo-fah!! i was sooo full!! after that, i got dropped off at home while everyone else went to visit auntie mable at her house...haha, poopy got roped into going too!! LoL!! i had the house ALL to myself for a good two hours, and it was AMAZING!!! tiz called me as soon as i got home, and i talked to him totally uninterrupted!! i lounged around on the patio, i plopped down on the couch, i sprawled all over the basement.....soooooo nice!! ...until they came home, anyway. : P

and that's pretty much the kind of day it's been in the wonderful world of zet.....stay tuned tomorrow...same zet-time, same zet-place!!

i suppose my blogs are getting a little bit boring. i slept in today, which felt very nice indeed.
today was a day of owies. i was supposed to go to mooney's bay to play vball (or football or ultimate, whatever), but it was too owie so i skipped out. hung around the house all day, talked to tiz for a bit, took a long long nap...until tiz called and woke me up... talked to him some more, then ate some dinner (which i missed because i was too tired to get up and eat). diddled around a bit...called my sister, wrote a few things down, showered, and now i'm back online again. blah!

apologies to boogie for not wanting to go to midway tonight......i'll make it up to you (by givin' you a huge whoopin' in air hockey!).

happy birthday shout-outs to dennis (PSYCHO!!!)....hope you don't go nuts and kill everyone up there in sucker creek and driftpile!! LoL!!

normie, where are you? i miss you...... we need to go have pho sometime soon....and i need to bake you another pie. it's strawberry season!

johan, i hope you're having a good time out there and getting used to dick's house o' macs! if you're staying in the room with the skylight, i hear it's really good to watch thunderstorms... ; )
