i suppose i've been getting very infrequent with my posts. that's mostly because nothing ever really happens. i've been busy working 7 days a week for the past 2 weeks. i've spent my weekends helping john's dad doing work on what will soon be the new vietnamese embassy. it's an honest-to-goodness mansion that you could easily get lost in. so that equates into the house having a zillion rooms that needed to be plastered, primed, painted, repainted, trimmed, varnished, etc. it's a lotta work!! so much work, in fact, that john took 2 weeks vacation from bmw...to work on the embassy! if there was one funny out of it, it was that one of the inside jokes, is that we were tempted to welcome them by painting a big steaming bowl of pho on a wall. somehow, tho, i don't think the gesture would have been welcomed.

in other snippets of news:
-yesterday john took the day off altogether and went shopping...and bought me yet another new fishing rod! he said the first one he bought me sucked and i deserved better. this one has interchangeable reels so i now have one with a 6lb string and one with 10lb string (like i can really appreciate the difference?).
-sabs has offered to pay me by the hour for my help in his endeavours in this saturday's urban challenge. hopefully their race ends before we go fishing. :)
-as long as i can remember, mac harb was the federal mp in ottawa centre, and now that mac harb is in the senate and that ed broadbent has the riding, i'm not sure what to make of having an ndp mp...we'll see what the future holds, i suppose.
-i just made an appointment to get my wisdom teeth out next thursday at 11:30am. any volunteers to drive me home around 12:30 and see me drool and goober like a baby? after all the horror stories i've heard, i'm not sure i'm looking forward to this experience...
