i got this email from someone today:
Hey zet, This is kind of a strange request...do you have a recipe for chicken balls? We're having a Chinese Easter. Instead of have a meal with ham, we're having homemade chinese food. [My husband] and I are in charge of chicken balls, or any other deep fried item.
it's questions like these that really make me bewildered. do people really think chicken balls are Chinese? especially with sweet & sour sauce? now, much like egg rolls, i'm not saying that they're not tasty, i'm just saying that it's not chinese!! goes right in there with the chicken flied-lice!
on that note, it makes me wonder if greek people really eat souvlaki or tsatziki sauce? ...do lebanese ppl really eat donairs or shawarmas and the more garlicky the better? ...do japanese people really eat sushi all day??(well, actually, i know the answer to this one) ...do italians only eat pasta and pizza? i make fun of my (indian) friend and always ask her if she's had curry lately! and, the biggest question of the day is, do swedish people only eat meatballs??
endless questions boggle the mind!!
