ah, the times when life gets hectic. it's thanksgiving weekend, usually the busiest weekend of the fall term! thank goodness i only have one midterm this term! this week has started out busy and only gets worse! john started his new job at BMW this monday, so he's been pretty tired every day. then again, if you went from doing nothing to working 12 hours a day, you'd be pretty tired too, i think!
today i was at school til 7 working on an assignment, but then i didn't want to go home because my mom had these people over for dinner, and i didn't really want to talk to them. john was way tired, so i resolved to wander the streets rather than go home. i wandered as far as the cock & lion, where i ate and watched west wing with rob - heehee!
tomorrow is the annual kcf thanksgiving dinner. last year it was at my house, but my mom's much too busy this week to have any more people over, so we're eating at vincent's instead. i did, however, agree to make the turkey (which my mom just did for me - she can be great sometimes!).
by friday norm will be back, so i believe friday evening will be spent, once again, at the cock & lion. i'm sure i have something to do on saturday but i forget what now....and sunday is thanksgiving service, followed by lunch at church. then my mom's having andy's family and leanne's parents (who are back in town visiting) over. darned if andy, poopy, and i are gonna be stuck with the old ppl by ourselves...so i persuaded my mom to let me invite john too. we shall see...
happy thanksgiving, everyone!
....btw, has anyone ever wondered why "turkey" in chinese is "fire chicken"??
