This weekend was pretty relaxed. Saturday we had a cooking class in Okayama where we made lots of tasty things! Sunday, the Kurashikis finally got together and went for some Indian buffet for lunch, followed by bowling.
It was the first time I've been in the bowling alley, which is a little sad since it's about 4 blocks from my place. I took a whopping 2 pictures. The first is something you would only see in Japan: a bowling shoe vending machine. You pop in 300 yen, and push the button corresponding to your size. The door lifts up, revealing a nook with a pair of sexy velcro bowling shoes.
And for some strange reason, they have a freebie massage chair. Mom-to-be took a test drive and was soon ensnared in it. It had a steel grip on her legs and she couldn't get out even if she wanted to!
That was pretty much the weekend! Life is kinda mundane now that it's cold and I like to hibernate. My living room temp when I wake up is normally in the 10-13 degree range. It's sad. I'm sad. Insulation and central heating - absence truly makes the heart grow fonder.
