i had a pretty good weekend! saturday morning woke up bright and early and we went to bmw to put winter tires on john's car. i wanted to watch him work, but he warned me that it would take him at least 2 or 3 hours to finish everything he wanted to do, so he suggested that i go shopping. i went around the corner to pier 1 imports and found something for vincent's bday. i was at the cash when i realized that i didn't have my wallet! i figured i must've left it in the car, so i ran back to bmw only to find the car 10' in the air with no tires on it. john didn't want to take it down, so he said, "just take my wallet." OKAY!! so i went and bought vincent's present, then went to st.laurent. i bought myself a $20 sweater from bluenotes - it's a dark gray knit turtleneck sweater with a small pocket in the front. not bad for $20! then i went to gap, where aiman was working. last time i bought john boxers, i had pat pick them out, so i thought i'd continue the trend and make aiman pick 'em out! he decided on some weird ones, just so he could make fun of john if he ever wore them. i figured john couldn't get upset if i spent his own money on himself! LoL! then aiman thought of giving me 5 or 6 gap bags filled with tissue paper just so it'd look like i bought scads of stuff, and give john a heart attack when he saw how much i'd *bought*...but the owner was around and we thought better of it. i bought some lunch and some timbits for the bmw ppl and went back to bmw.

there, i got to play around! i got to sit in the car, and john lifted it up to the top of the hoisty-thingie. so i was sitting like 10' in the air and i helped him change his brake fluid (at least, that's what i think i was doing). i just pumped the brakes and held 'em down every few minutes...i think it helps pump out the brake fluid, but i'm not sure. after that, i got to rev the car in R, N, D, 1, and 2 just to get the transmission fluid running throughout the car (at least...that's what i think it did). very fun! in the evening, we tried to go for dinner in little italy but it was packed so we went for sushi instead. we had a veggie & shrimp tempura, a "dancing eel roll" (california rolls with a chunk of eel on top, mmm), and a 32-piecer! we ate all but 6 pieces or so! after dinner i took him to see the coral reef documentary at the imax theatre...it's really good! the fish and the corals are quite beautiful. even tho it's an hour-long show, it's worth the $8 (student) admission.

sunday after church, i went to MK with chung & cal. always an adventure in itself! after that, john and i did nothing all day. it was great! all in all, a very adventurous and fun-filled weekend! now the trick is to settle back into the weekday routine. bleh.
