let's see, i guess it's been a week since i last blogged (about nothing in particular). i dunno, i guess not much has changed, so i don't really feel like blogging. reading week was a bust. much like every other reading week, i didn't get as much work done as i would've liked to have. i also didn't get to clean my room. i fixed up the resume but it still needs more work, and i registered on the fswep database.
one highlight of reading week was last wednesday, when i went to visit john at bmw. i ended up sticking around for about 2 hours and helped him fix a car! i think i'm pretty good at helping change brake fluid now, my end of the job is pretty easy and kinda fun!
and of course, john's bday was on friday. he thought i'd be at work all day, which is what i'd led him to believe. really, i was running around getting stuff. i went to bmw just a few min before their lunch showed up, with a huge strawberry shortcake and a buncha balloons! all he could yell was, "you're supposed to be at work!!!" well duh, that's what made it a *surprise* silly!
after that, i actually went to work for a few hours before meeting up with his family for dinner in chinatown. we went home for a while, after which i told him i had a surprise for him! so at around 10:30, joanna came over and picked us up to take us to his *surprise* destination. i forgot that it didn't really work so well considering that he drives around so much he knows exactly where he is judging by every twist and turn. at one point, he told us exactly what intersection we were at! so we figured we could take the blindfold off since he knew we were going to C&L! it was a nice surprise to see pat, dave, and matty p outside already! i haven't seen matty p in over a year, since he went to chile! so we went down and everyone yelled *surprise!* like he was surprised. but it was nice, there were a lot of ppl who showed up to celebrate and stuff. unfortunately, rob works on fridays, so within 10 minutes of getting there, there was a pyramid set up. fortunately, because rob is our *friend,* there was also a bucket ready and waiting. alas. later in the night, i had to take some for the team, and that was the end of that. it was quite the night and hopefully quite the birthday. happy 23rd, dearie!
