ah, what a great wednesday. woke up at the crack of 10 to join john and patty in their usual doing-nothing on wednesdays. i just crammed on some clothes over my pj's because i figured john and i would just end up napping anyway. but then i grabbed a pack of bacon outta my freezer and we ended up eating breakfast when we got to john's house. mmm bacon. since it was nice and sunny outside, we (meaning the boys) tried to fix john's dipstick, because some incompetent person who works at a crappy place that we will not mention (*ahem* CT) broke his dipstick at the handle and tried to glue it back together so john wouldn't notice. in any case, the stick was stuck. it took a drill bit, a blow torch, and a pair of pliers (and a lot of thinking) to get it out. after that little incident, we all took a trip to CT to buy a new dipstick and some other things. at least john finally used up another wad of CT money...but then of course they gave him another $2 worth...out of the pile he just gave them. rargh, you can never win with them.

anyway, we decided that it was such a nice day and since we had about 4 1/2 hours to kill before having to pick up john's mom...we thought we'd go out to the chocolate factory! a very nice day for a drive indeed. john and i both spent a fair amount on yummy hershey creations, of course. after that, we drove around smith's falls and passed this store called "bead buddies." pat points this out and says, "hehe, there's a store called BED buddies!"
i say, "no, it's BEAD buddies!"
pat: "it says BED! B-E-A-D, BED!"
john: "bed is spelled B-E-D."
pat: "dammit, &@$#%, what was i thinking?! i was thinking of bread, b-r-e-a-d = bread, so b-e-a-d = bed!!"
john & zet: *point and laugh mockingly*
and on the note of stores in smith's falls, sonja: the skirt is no longer in the window of liquidation world...i woulda made them stop so i could buy it if it was!

we decided to eat before going home, but we weren't sure if mcchickens were the special of the day. so we parked at the mcd's express. there was a blank poster right in front of us, and john said, "i bet the specials are listed right on the other side of that sign." but none of us wanted to check, so finally patty agreed to do it, figuring john was wrong anyway. john said, "i get a kiss on the cheek if i'm right!" two seconds later patty gives us a thumbs up and has to give john a big smack on the cheek. they're so cute together, maybe i should step aside! :)
and as always, we drove over to the park by the canal to eat. we spent about 20 minutes munching away and chatting, and then it was time to go. we pile into the car and john states that he has no keys. we're like, "yeah, okay, funny." but he REALLY lost his keys! somewhere between parking and walking literally 2 metres to the picnic table, he lost his keys! the guy parked next to us even got outta his truck to help us look all over for the keys. we even checked the garbage in case he somehow tossed his keys into the mcd's bag that we threw out. we finally found them after about 10 min of searching - he'd meant to toss them on his seat when he got outta the car, but they ended up stuck between the seat and the parking brake.

i went to school to do some work with henry (good ol' chinglish) and went to south keys before the boys picked me up again. in the 45 min it took them to meet up with me, i managed to spend $100 at globo and walmart - DOH!! on the bright side, i bought new shoes! we went to aiman's to chill for the night, and that was about it. i think my good deed for the day is rescuing aiman's piranha from the brink of death. there was SO little water in the tank that he had to lie flat to keep from dying. i filled up the tank halfway (lest i kill him from water shock) so he could at least swim around a bit. if i had more time at walmart, i would've bought him a fishie to eat. poor guy. oh well, quite the eventful wednesday indeed! and at the end of the day, we didn't actually get to nap, so i had shorts on under my jeans all day. the funny part is that john expected to nap too and also had shorts on all day!! LoL! we work great together sometimes!

sorry for the long blog, but it was a great day full of great stories!

grrr smallville. i found out today that through the wonders of satellite tv, i actually DO get smallville, not only ridiculously late at night, but at SEVEN PM! woohoo, a whole hour earlier than citytv (which i don't have). too bad it was a re-run. in any case, according to episodelist.com, next week will be a NEW episode...it's about time! but yeah, haven't done much today. i let john do some actual work tonight, so we didn't see each other *gasp* for like, the first time in about 2 weeks. oh well, gotta get used to it, i suppose, since exams are rapidly approaching.

i was amused when poopy came home today and told me that since they (he and uncle charles) couldn't get my modem working, they called sympatico and ordered software because they came to the (mistaken) conclusion that it doesn't work with xp. poopy should have realized that when i borrowed john's laptop, it had xp and yet sympatico worked fine. anyway, you can imagine his surprise when i said that i had gotten the internet working. uncle charles called later too, and when i told him i got the internet working, he assumed that i had used the new software. i'm like, "nooo..i got it working." i think the *men* don't think a lil' gal like me can figure out these new-fangled tech-ni-cal doohickies....pshaw.

MUHAHAHA... zet is back in the world of the internet... i'm sure this is going to be short-lived again, but whatever. denise's dad lent us a computer on sunday, but much to my frustration they ("they" being poopy and uncle charles) couldn't get the internet working. and when i got home sunday afternoon, i couldn't be bothered to figure it out for them cuz i was tired and cranky. so i sat down today and ding-ding-ding whaddya know?? i think the geniuses tried to install the software for the wrong modem. i am so smart S-M-R-T!

patter says tonight's smallville is ANOTHER re-run. this makes FIVE weeks in a row! GRRR. maybe i will have to console myself by watching one of the first 3 episodes on dvd which tommy (did you see that?! your *REAL* name...oooh!!) got me for my birthday! yay, what a great gift! (no, not gay at all). <--serious!!

back to the wonderful paper on chinglishness.
it's days like today when i'm reminded of how much john cares about me.

first of all, someone called and asked me to go out for poutine with them, but then felt bad taking *precious* time away from john. so i passed the phone over to john and told him to say how much he doesn't mind. john started yelling into the phone things like, "take her!! PLEEEASE!! i don't want her anymore... i can't get away from her!! even when i don't pick her up, she BUSSES over to my house!! GOOOOO!!!" my poutine date was much amused and felt better about *tearing* me away.

then i later asked john if he was getting sick of seeing me, since we've seen each other every single day for the past week and a half. he compared me a numbing pain...that at first you notice it, but then once the constant jabbing becomes calloused over, you don't notice it so much anymore.

right... anyway, he cares about me SO much that he's asleep again. LoL, but it's because he left me to do my work and fell asleep watching tv. i have to wake him up early(er) tonight because i'm off to go for a middle-of-the-night heart attack otherwise known as a poutine from ESD.

ah yes, so church this morning. it was a beautiful and bright day...and phill, fyi, it WAS nice and almost spring-like about two weeks ago. in fact, i wore a skirt one day and shorts i think on two other days. but then alas, they forecast another 20cm for the friday evening (but it didn't come until saturday, much to tommy's chagrin, hehehe).
church was church, i forgot it was combined service til i got there, doh. oh well, communion's always nice. i must say that little bit with baldwin and uncle joseph going up and telling everyone about sars was good too...some ppl a lil' too paranoid about it and baldwin's right when he says ppl are scared cuz they don't know enough about it. and another interesting thing about service was this old lady whose cell phone went off (rather loudly) during communion. and she ANSWERED it!! man, i could hear her talking from the other side of the sanctuary! yeeesh...
stayed for lunch and chatted with the girls about lots of weird and wonderful things.
long live the NSC (sam's a moron!).
hiiii, everybody!! so not too much new. yesterday was a horrible day at work - one of those days where nothing could go right. i went home and made a gigantic macaroni salad and went over to vincent's for our kcf potluck dinner. no one showed up til around 8ish, so it was nice that vincent and i could just chill and talk. dinner was good and elections were equally good.

after that, john and i drove sunmee home, picked up joanna, and went to darren's house party. that was all well and good and then we went home.

haven't done much today, woke up at the beautiful crack of 1pm, diddled around and then john picked me up. the poor dear worked all day and then ended up helping poopy shovel snow. it's always nice having boys around. : ) so i've been sitting around all day, and we fell asleep around 9ish, but i woke up at 11ish and someone's been unconscious since then. i was just thinking that it's 2am...but then i just looked at the computer clock, which says 3am....but the wall clock says 2am... AUGH, it's spring forward...it's 3am and i'm still not home yet...eeek, i'm gonna get in trubble for this one...maybe i should wake john up... home time!
