Hello there! So I am now sitting in my sister's computer room / guest room. The weather is bright and sunny here in Vancouver. I made it here yesterday morning after a horridly early flight out of Ottawa. I gotta say, 6am flights are BRUTAL. Not only that, but I've reaffirmed my decision that I hate flying.
Anyway, I got here, we ran some errands, ate some lunch, and then went to my sister's Jack & Jill shower at their friend's house. Their's friend's house is absolutely amazing, but that's a whole 'nother story. We had a Mediterranean-themed potluck, with a few deviations from the theme (since when are samosas or KFC "mediterranean"?!). All the food was delicious, and we spent the evening playing games and whatnot. We left at like, 1:30am, which, because I was still on Ottawa time, absolutely draining. I fell asleep for a bit, but overall was up for nearly 24 hours straight!!
It's been wedding-wedding-wedding ever since. I've seen the programs and have to help make more, been conscripted to help make the slide show, among other things. Oh, and in asking my opinion for slide-show music, Chris played "Over the Rainbow" - the one with the ukelele. I actually only know that as being the ending song from "Finding Forrester" with Sean Connery. Turns out that IS the Israel Kadlknfa;ldn#ldn version that Dick & Carolyn told me to listen to way back when! I love that version too! :)
Well, gotta get ready for a "Helper's Meeting" in an hour, after which we have to shoo everyone out to go to a "Family dinner"...Chris' mom would like to take me out for dinner!! Guess I'd better be on my best behaviour :
