i HATE computers....more specifically, i hate MY computer. i've been reduced to ressurecting my old computer to use it to type up my term paper and project and whatnot. and since i was getting sick of retreiving an ever-increasing number of emails using my yahoo account (i love pop mail), i finally just used sympatico's dial up access to get all 70+ of my awaiting emails. i figure i may as well use it if i'm paying $50 a month for not using it....grrr.... this computer is painfully slow, so y'all better appreciate this blog! this computer is SO slow that i popped in one of the mp3 cd's that john burned off my d drive so i could get away from the pain of listening to kool fm anymore (i am now thoroughly sick of kool fm...not only do i know all the songs off by heart because i hear them every two hours, but i also know all the commercials because i hear them every 45 min). anyway, the computer's too slow to process the music fast enough, so the songs end up skipping. very sad.... i almost endured the skippity music because i thought it was almost the better of the two evils, but in the end, kool fm won out again. i may have to go back to belinda carlisle soon, since it's about the only cd i can find.
speaking of evil....words cannot describe my hatred of government, both at provincial and federal levels. specifically, i hate ccra and osap. those suckers cause me more stress than my workload. if anyone would like to contribute to the worthy worthy cause of helping me pay tuition, please notify me asap. Christmas presents have recently been stricken off the "priority of affordability" list, or as john might call it, the "list o' (affordable) digits"...
today was a quality family day. aside from me trying to procrastinate from completing my project which is due tomorrow (or, more like in 18 hours), after john left at 9ish, i ended up talking to mom and poopy for almost 2 hours! wow, i don't think i've talked to them that much all year! LoL...i guess we talked about a lot of stuff...about ppl we know, family matters and the like. did anyone know that auntie linda went to see poopy when he was like, 1? yeesh, who'da thunk our families went back so far?! that led to the discussion of how patty and i met about 16 years later, only to find out that our families knew each other before we were born, go figure. now there's a shock for ya! also that somehow patty's family is related to my friend susan in some obscure way. is there no end to the reaches of the "wong" family?! *eyes rolling* anyway, after discussing family matters, my mom told me to open the new toys that she bought for the church nursery. oh wow, it was like Christmas came early! she got those brats some COOL toys! they even made ME laugh and giggle with delight! (shut up, i know what all of you are thinking). man, those are some CLASS toys, those babies better appreciate them...*grumble* never had toys like that when WE were kids....grr...
after that, i called my sister to tell her something, and we got into some pretty good chatting. nowadays, anything over 10 min is good chatting with her, since i can never seem to catch her at home when she's not doing anything. i think we talked for about an hour, so it was too good to ditch her for my project! and now i'm back at the computer, once again not working on my project. :) oh, i also talked to kasin today...oh wait, or was that yesterday. scratch that, i think it was yesterday. days are all kinda melding into one for me these days....all i do is sit at home and do work. this working thing is so great! it's such a new experience to actually LIKE what you're working on! my grades are so good right now ("so good" in comparison to the past 2 years) that i just realized last week that if i push a little harder, i might actually do well enough to get my scholarship back!! WHOA!! now THERE's a thought! if i manage to knock that $1000 off my tuition, i could possibly actually afford to go back to UK next summer as planned / hoped for! then again, with this whole osap mess, i'm trying not to get my hopes up. sorry chung-tuw, xdd, and sonj if i can't go... :*(
anyway, before john surfs over to my page and realizes that i'm blogging and not working on my project and calls me to blast me for procrasting again, teehee...i should get back to eating! i mean...working! LoL....don't expect another blog for a while...my first exam is on friday! good ol' first-year linguistics.... i'm gonna rock that exam without even studying hard! ;)
