So I started work on Monday at Environment Canada. The government certainly is a different environment than my old job. Here in my department (the greenhouse gas division of the air pollution prevention directorate...or something like that?), people don't really care when I come and go, it seems. It's also pretty laid back in terms of dress...I've been feeling a little overdressed all week compared to everyone else!
That's pretty much all that's new and different in my life this week. I have my own phone line, my own computer, a new e-mail address (yes, another one!), and my own CUBE!! Considering I barely had my own chair at my old work, I'm fascinated by so much space for just me!
The only not-so-wonderful thing about my new job is that I work in Hull, so it takes me a bit longer to get to work. As well, I also have to take the dreaded STO... y'know the busses only run every half hour...even during rush hour!! How silly is that?! At least from Rideau, I have a choice of about 5 busses, so it's not so bad.
That's pretty much it for now...
